Safari Blue is Zanzibar’s premier full-day sea adventure. Setting sail from the
fishing village of Fumba, you will board a traditional hand-crafted dhow and head into the
Menai Bay Conservation Area. This pristine marine park is famous for its uninhabited
islands, sandbanks, and frequent sightings of humpback and bottlenose dolphins.
The day is filled with aquatic exploration. You will stop at a naturally occurring sandbank to
sunbathe and snorkel in shallow reefs. Afterward, visit Kwale Island to see an ancient, fallen
baobab tree and swim in a hidden mangrove lagoon. The pinnacle of the trip is the
legendary Seafood BBQ Lunch, featuring lobster, prawns, calamari, and grilled fish,
followed by a tasting session of over ten different types of tropical fruits.
